Adobe^® Illustrator^® CS4 software is a comprehensive vector graphics environment with new new features such as multiple artboards, a Blob Brush tool for intuitive vector painting, and transparency in gradients with on-object controls invite you to explore more efficient and creative ways of working.

• Draw with Live tools
  Draw in Illustrator more quickly than ever, with more flexible anchor point selection, improved performance, and a new Eraser tool. New Live Color features based on color theory let you interactively choose harmonious color combinations. Live Trace can quickly convert photos, scans, and other bitmap images into editable vector paths. Live Paint colors in any closed or partially closed area and detects and corrects gaps.
   
• Integrate with other Adobe software
  Tight integration with other Adobe products like Photoshop^®, InDesign^®, and Acrobat^® lets you speed through graphic design and print production. Illustrator also includes PDF creation capabilities to make multipage native PDF files for easy sharing with users running Acrobat or free Adobe Reader^®.
   
• New in CS4
  The new multiple artboards feature allows users to work on a variety of projects in a single file and share settings and content across designs. Transparency within a gradient simplifies creating interaction between layers and enables easy mixing and knockouts. The Blob Brush tool generates a clean, filled, vector shape while you sketch, even when strokes overlap, merging your paths naturally into a single object that's easily selected and edited.
